Anea the Patient

After the rocky start of the last post, I bravely dove back in to random heroics with whosoever may show up in my group.  I did still have a few people that were skeptical of my gear (both times in Forge of Souls) but things went fine.  A few close calls again, but much better, I think!

I'm feeling much more comfortable and it's really nice to see all the instances again.  I spent hours and hours and HOURS yesterday in randoms - somewhere on the order of 12 or more, I believe - and have so many achievements to show for it.  I had started taking screenshots to post to feel good about myself (*cough*) but there are too many to post - it would be silly screenshot spam.

In fact!  As you can tell by the title of the post, today alone I grouped with 50 people in random heroics and am now Anea the Patient (and let me tell you, that last instance really made me earn it.)

I have several new additions to my inventory, the most expensive of which is my new helm, Helm of Clouded Sight.  I had gotten so many emblems at once, my initial plan was to get the heirloom shoulders and chestpiece for my baby hunter I have planned to be on the same realm as Anea.  However, if I were being a good priest, I would buy upgrades for Anea to help her along.  So yes... the baby hunter will just have to wait.  Next in the list of upgrades are shoulders!  I wonder if I have the instance endurance to get all the emblems for those tomorrow...

One of my faithful commenters, Jack, has introduced me to friends of his in the game, so I have potential raiding buddies/friends already - an Old World fun run is scheduled for tomorrow!  Plus, I also ran into an old friend of mine from waaaaaaaaaay back in BC days when Anea had just hit 70 - turns out he's back on his hunter and playing often.  Things are looking up, dear readers.

Posie the Pilgrim

I wasn't one of the first rush of players to have finished the meta for the new holiday, but I still did finish. Last night consisted of running through Alliance cities with Tahas at our great peril - and even though we had a bit of an issue in Ironforge (massive guard aggro - apparently they were told Orc-flesh tasted just as good as turkey) we finished in style!

Today only required I find three Horde rogues to shoot with the Turkey Shooter and I was done. I have a few choice things to say about a certain Troll rogue but I'll keep those to myself. However, at long last...

This title doesn't have a lot of meaning for me or for Posie, but Posie the Pilgrim does have a nice ring to it, doesn't it? I may wear it just for the sake of having a title, since Brewmaster certainly doesn't suit her at all.

Elder Anea

I got asked to fill in on a 25-man Naxx run tonight and only did one boss, but luckily, I got my shoulders!  So now, not only do I have angel wings in my banner, I have them in the game.

Witness.

Afterwards, I asked if a few guild members might help me out with getting my Elders, since Lus apparently didn't want to make the effort.  (Don't worry, he doesn't read this, I can say detrimental things about him and he'll never know!)  It was a nice "getting to know you" session, since I hadn't really done anything else with the guild except throw some heals in Naxx and then log off.  We soldiered through it all in record time and got my achievement with minutes (ok, hours) to spare.

I am now known as Elder Anea.   I think it is both pleasing to the eye and to the ear.  And I am not the least bit worried about sounding "old" as one guildie mentioned.  Not one bit.

Anea the Explorer

World Explorer

You read correctly, ladies and gentlemen!  (Or ladies and gentleladies - bonus if you get the reference.)

After three big sessions of exploring her tail off, Anea became an Explorer of the First Degree.  (That's what Brann told me, anyway.)

I am trying hard not to think of Dora when I read my title.  I have to like it - it's one of the very few I have.

From a personal standpoint, the achievement and title that I would like most to get for Anea is Loremaster.  I am quite the book nerd out of the game and try to read and learn as much as possible.  I feel that this carries over into Anea and how she is played and the personality that I  imagine she would have (if I were to roleplay her.)

However, this will take quite a bit of dedication.  Dedication that I know I should have, were this truly important to me.  And it is - but it's a daunting task, is it not?  Those of you that have done it, agree with me, and those of you that haven't, agree with me - it's probably why you don't yet have the title!

GO NOW!

As we know, I've become a Bloodsail Admiral. Which means that many goblins really don't like me. They beat me with sticks, net me to the ground and shoot me with bullets that have some crazy knockback.

But I was determined to get my Tricks and Treats of Azeroth! I pretty much just died as near to the inns in goblin cities as I could, then stole the candy and ran out. However, in Mudsprocket in cursed Dustwallow Marsh (I hate that place) I got stuck in the inn, being shot and knocked back by a goblin outside. Shot and knocked back, shot and knocked back, ad nauseum. I was pinned against the back wall. There was a rogue in the inn watching all this (amused, I'm sure) and asked what was going on. His druid buddy came to see, and we had some pirate dialogue as I was slowly dying. (Those bullets knock you back something fierce, but they sure don't hit you for much, even as a clothie.)

The druid healed me at first, but after I explained that it wouldn't help and I could really only die and rez in a safe place, they left, so I just waited to die. Then the guards disappear. As I'm thinking, "???" the rogue yells, "GO NOW!" so I ran as fast as my hooves could carry me, and as I streak past, I see that they're fighting the guards - distracting them so that I could get out alive.

They accompanied me all the way until I was out of combat, sent tells to be sure I would be ok, and we went on our merry ways.

That was pretty awesome of them. I haven't seen a small kindness like that from random strangers in the game for a long time. It made my night.
